VenturePass

Legal

Privacy Policy

Effective August 17, 2026

1. Scope

This Policy explains how VenturePass collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use our website, accounts, founder and investor workspaces, matching tools, and communications.

2. Information we collect

Account information: name, email, role, authentication data, and support communications.

Founder information: company details, founder biographies, traction metrics, fundraising terms, pitch materials, profile activity, and introduction preferences.

Investor information: firm and professional details, investment mandates, preferences, profile views, decisions, and introduction requests.

Usage and device information: browser and device details, IP address, timestamps, pages and features used, referral information, and diagnostic events.

Billing information: subscription status, plan, payment identifiers, and billing history. Complete card details are processed by Stripe and are not stored by VenturePass.

3. How we use information

We use information to authenticate users; operate profiles, matching, submissions, introductions, and pipelines; calculate explainable scores; personalize and improve the service; process subscriptions; prevent fraud and abuse; communicate service and security notices; respond to support; and comply with legal obligations.

4. Matching and analytics

VenturePass uses submitted profile data, declared investment mandates, and marketplace activity to rank potential matches and explain relevant signals. As the service develops, aggregated and behavioral outcomes may improve matching. We do not use a match score as a substitute for human investment judgment, and a score does not guarantee interest or funding.

5. How we share information

We share information with the founder or investor recipients you choose to engage, and with service providers supporting hosting, authentication, database operations, email delivery, analytics, security, and payments. These providers may include our hosting infrastructure, Supabase for authentication, and Stripe for billing. We may also disclose information to comply with law, protect rights and safety, complete a corporate transaction, or with your direction or consent.

We do not sell personal information for money or use founder profiles for mass cold-email campaigns.

6. Retention and security

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods depend on the data and account status. We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, but no system is completely secure.

7. Your choices and rights

You may update profile data from your workspace, manage billing through the customer portal, control submissions and introductions, and request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information. Depending on your location, additional rights may apply, including rights to object, restrict processing, or appeal a request decision.

8. Cookies and communications

We use essential cookies for authentication, security, and session continuity. We may use limited analytics technologies to understand product usage. You can opt out of non-essential marketing email using the unsubscribe link, while continuing to receive transactional and security messages.

9. International use and children

Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. VenturePass is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Contact
